Success story

From manual invoices and compliance risk to e-invoicing that submits itself.

How a multi-outlet restaurant group moved from hand-keyed invoices and ETA exposure to e-invoices submitted automatically from POS — books closed early.

The challenge

Invoices by hand, compliance by hope.

E-invoicing done manually

Sales from every outlet were re-keyed into invoices and uploaded to the tax portal by hand — slow, error-prone, and always behind the day's trading.

Compliance risk at every outlet

Each branch's manual submission was its own exposure: rejected documents, missed deadlines and mismatches that only surfaced when the authority flagged them.

A close that dragged

Because invoicing and approvals lived outside the books, finance chased outlets for numbers every month and closed late on figures they couldn't fully trust.

What we did

One POS-to-ledger flow, e-invoiced by default.

01

Mapped the outlets first

A discovery sprint documented how each outlet actually sold, invoiced and approved — producing a fit-gap report before any commitment.

02

POS Restaurant on one core

Every outlet was put on Odoo POS Restaurant feeding one accounting core, so each sale becomes a posting the moment it rings — no re-keying between branch and books.

03

ETA e-invoicing, automatic

CDS wired ETA e-invoicing so compliant documents are generated and submitted straight from the sale — automatically, with rejections surfaced for action instead of discovered at audit.

04

Approvals with a trail

An approvals matrix governs discounts, voids and spend across outlets, giving finance a complete audit trail — and every role was trained in Arabic before go-live.

The results

Compliance handled while the books close early.

01

E-invoices submit themselves

Documents that were hand-keyed and uploaded per outlet now generate and submit to ETA automatically from the point of sale.

02

Compliance risk designed out

Automatic, validated submission replaced manual uploads — rejections and missed deadlines become exceptions to handle, not surprises at audit.

03

Books closed early

With sales, invoicing and approvals on one governed core, finance stopped chasing outlets and now closes ahead of schedule on numbers it trusts.
